SANFORD, Maine - For the first time in 352 days, the Keene SwampBats get shutout in a 4-0 loss against the Sanford Mainers. This shutout dates back as the first one against Keene since June 25th, 2025.
Hunter Colagrande (Stony Brook) got the start on the bump for the Keene SwampBats but with his pitch count running high after throwing over 24 pitches in the third inning, he could not make it to the fourth inning.
The SwampBats could not get there first hit until the 5th inning where Charlie Meglio (Rutgers) was able to break through with the teams only single until the 9th inning.
Eamon McDermott (Duke) was able to deal out of the bullpen for three-plus innings while getting himself out of a jam in all three frames, stranding runners in scoring position.
Despite a strong bullpen performance, the SwampBats were still unable to mount anything offensively, and were shutout in the 4-0 loss. They have the day off on Saturday before they return on the road Sunday against the Valley Blue Sox.
